After completing Isabel Wolff's Out of the Blue, I've realised one thing - Men don't make promises not to do something wrong again, they make promises not to tell their partners about their indiscretions instead.
I give you an example from the book :
"It's my fault - I know that. I was an idiot to tell you about my fling." "No, Peter,...That's not the point. You were an idiot to have a fling."
I've noticed it's true - everytime a guy does something you don't like, the first thing he says is "Ok, next time I won't tell you about it" and not "Ok, I won't do it again".
Is it really because they can't help themselves, or that they don't want to control themselves? Perhaps someone can clarify. =P
The other interesting piece of news today? My hamster fell behind the table. Funny really, because I couldn't move the table... But I finally got it out by shaking its food dish at it... Apparently it's been conditioned enough by the sound to respond to it.

Four photos and a post.
Pretty pretty bikinis! Realize there's lots of underwear in that photo, but it's not like you've never seen it before... Right?
Not-so-much-pinkie-as-ring-finger ring.
Day 1: We shopped. Everything that happened before we reached KL, however, Neltje will no doubt tell you in lurid detail if you ask. I was most amused by her impatience. The above 2 photos summarize the things we bought. Don't ask me where we went to shop. I have a very short memory. I did, however, purchase items that are readily available in Singapore as well. *guilty grin*
Before a night out in the KL club scene...
Day 2: We started out with a swim, but photos will sadly be not available except to a very selective audience after undergoing heavy censoring. Because Neltje has made me promise on pain of... um... pain not to reveal them publicly. After which, we went shopping (again) at Chinatown and KLCC. Then we went back home and dolled ourselves up (some more, I think, in my case...) and hit the club strip. Pity that Zouk had a cover charge and I don't drink anyway. And I really should dress up more when I go out. The difference in photos - it is stark. On the other hand, I don't want to be the kind of person who only looks good from afar, under good-lighting and make-up.
Hehe. This photo basically sums up everything - Bus broke down on the way back. Got hungry, bought KFC, ate by the roadside.
Day 3: That definitely had to be the highlight of the day - the bus breaking down on the way back to Singapore. Our 5-6 hour journey turned into a 7-8 one which cummulated in us arriving in Singapore at about 11. Quite alright, you say, but you didn't see the jam on the causeway. But the time I had arrived home it was 1.30 a.m. Boy, were the other girls pissed. I think they complained to the bus company, but I don't know what came out of it...
There you go. My KL trip in a nutshell. Don't complain if I didn't buy anything back because I didn't buy anything back for ANYONE. Yes. It's all about ME.
This was the result of some boredom inspired sketching on MSN. Tres fun, no?

If I say jump, you ask "What colour?"
That's a paraphrased quote from (oh damn, the name escapes me at the moment) Anyway... It's from the Watch series that starts with "Guards, Guards!" (Yes, that's the dragon one.) The one after that is about the 'gonne'.... which is called... Men at Arms! Yup. That's the one. Men at Arms.
I'm so sorry I haven't been reading more. Reading makes me feel good, and I can ignore the fact that I have no friends, or am without a job, or that I'm basically a useless human being that no one loves.
...
Sorry. A touch of melodrama there.
But yes, reading affects me. I can identify with the protagonist and forget that I'm penniless, bored or lonely. It takes up time, it teaches you things. You laugh, you cry, you are... transformed. And for just one afternoon, you are no longer you.
I need a good laugh. I've been smiling alot thanks to late-night conversations with friends, but so far, laughter? Rare. Yet books provide this lovely service for free, and effectively too.
Yes. Reading is good for you.

Yeah, well, at least I can diet!
A few random comments. Think I'll be adding more later.
Is it me, or does Faye look particularly fat in the last panel? She's bigger sized than Martin O_O
My hamster. She is fat. Photographic evidence forthcoming. No, she's not pregnant, unless there's a really skinny boy hamster running around. So skinny he can squeeze through the bars like a pancake slipping under the door. Or a super-intelligent one that knows how to open cages and leave no evidence behind. Damn those super-intelligent hamsters! Quit screwing my baby!
Okay, so no photos yet. I need a before photo to compare with. Compared to me, anything would look skinny. Kidding. =)
I *have* been playing KOL. It's fairly enjoyable in a... neopets kind of way. If not for the social interaction via the chat channel I'd probably have gotten bored of it already.
Good thing there isn't a competitive streak in me. Otherwise I'd be concerned that people who've joined after me have already overtaken. This game, my friends, is thoroughly fun, but it seems suited only for the kind of people that
game online, and
enjoy a little silliness from time to time.
Also, since it's flooded with youths of varying ages, you, my peers, may feel a little out of place wading through all the higher levelled players younger than you. Of course, the older players level the playing ground with their ability to donate sums of money and obtain perks in return.
I quite like the game, and it seems like a fairly brilliant way to get to know other people all over the world. Much like IRC, but you get to game while you chat. So, if youse is interested, I'll be seeing ya there. You'll know it's me when you see me. Chatting, that is. I think my nickname is unmistakeable.
