This news isn't really... new, but I suppose everyone should know about it, because it's currently been a source of contention for some.
As of last Friday, I was nominated and then elected into the 24th MC of the Arts and Social Sciences Club as the honorary treasurer. Why did I do it? I'm not too sure myself, but as I told Pris, the things I do are usually for other people - all they have to do is ask. I do realize I've gotten myself into some trouble because I don't know how do the job exactly, but the way I see it, it gives me a taste of (this sounds awfully familiar) serving the student body. And I can safely say it's purely altruistic, because I am not getting anything out of this.
Should I have been a little more selfish and said no? I don't know. What matters is that it's already over, and I'm tired of people asking me why I did it. What does it matter? I'm not doing this to play politics, and that's all you really need to know. Really, all I need now is people helping me to learn the ropes. And I can promise I'll do my best.
Meanwhiles, I shall be good and drink this essence of chicken. Exams up in 2 weeks! WOOTZ!
