I was supposed to watch Matrix Revolutions yesterday, but to our amazement, the tickets were sold out. Yep, even so long after the release date, it's selling like hotcakes. Even though most of the people who've watched it so far have put it down. Even though I was late. Even though... I really wanted to watch it.

It's probably a sign that I'm never going to watch the last instalment of the Matrix. Seriously, everyone I know has watched it already, and I've not many people left to drag to the movie. What will become of me?! Will I die never knowing how the Matrix ended, even though it's turned into a crass attempt at commercialization of the previously philosophical alternative ... thingy it was?

We watched Master and Commander instead. I didn't see the whole point of the movie at all. Didn't learn anything historical, and was subjected to the brutalities of healthcare on the sea. (read: amputations and self-ministering of wounds) I had my hands over my eyes during the particularly violent scenes, but somebody wouldn't let me miss them.

"Come on, you paid $6.50 to watch this movie."

Sure, it was a feel good movie. Very rousing. The doctor was amusing, and I saw a hobbit on board the ship. Russell Crowe is dead ugly. I guess he looked much better in Gladiator because most of his face was covered with facial hair. Like Viggo Mortensen.

Then, my friend drove me home, which was also extremely amusing because I'm terrible at giving directions and he's good at making me doubt my sense of direction...

"Turn left."
"Are you sure?"
"Ummm. I don't know. Right then."
(silence as left turn is not made)
"You know how I said turn right after you made me doubt about turning left?"
"We should've turned left?"
"Yea, I was right the first time."

Plus he was so excited about getting to drive independently that it made me laugh. Not to mention that rather amusing call home to beg his father to let him drive above 70 kph. Alright, I won't tell them anymore. -grin- Not even about the lorries over taking you. ; P
