On friday, I went to watch Absolutely Serious perform at the Third Place. I walked in, and this other band was playing. I would've walked out if not for the fact these nice men came and gave me a seat. I felt obliged to stay after that, plus, hey, maybe the band I actually came to see would come on after that. Quite hilarious really. The band before was really good, yes, as some people can't stop stressing to me, to which I reply, I didn't come to see them! I was sitting pretty quite close to Lyndon's sister, whom I didn't recognize because I thought it was some woman at first. Yes. Some woman. She's that mature looking. Anyway...
After about 1 and a half hours of that, Absolutely Serious finally came on. Hurrah. I had fun, amazingly, and I liked their lyrics. Most of them. I've a short memory, so don't ask me what they played. I was surprised by how much of a heckler I was in small groups. There was a rather funny exchange between Lyndon's Kenric (this saves me the trouble of having to explain their relationship. It's not what you think. Really. Okay, maybe I'm making you think strange things, but that's just you and your strange mind.) ANYWAY... I knew he was Kenric because he was standing next to Lyndon, and Lyndon was standing next to me and he turned to me and told me "Kenric said NUS cancelled their one week break..." so I KNEW the guy was Kenric. To cut long story short... I was standing in a corner smsing my friend, (and I'm paraphasing here because I can't remember the exact words) "Oh, she's standing over there in the corner. What? You mean she's Simin? Your neighbour? Really? Oh."
Then he comes over and tells me he didn't recognize me before. I said "That's okay, I didn't recognize you either." Haha.
It's the hair. We've both grown it longer.
Saturday: I played Chrono Trigger for the whole day. The end.
Sunday: Hmm. Went for cell. Had lunch at Sunshine Plaza (good wanton mee. Really good wanton mee). After that I went to Joel's house because we were both bored and had nothing to do till 6. And as he put it, "There's marginally more stuff to do at my house than at Orchard Road." And so I found out. Hahaha. Then we went out, okay, I went out with the girls, (Lisa, Mel, Lishan) to celebrate Lisa's birthday. We went to Wheelock place to have sushi. Then we shopped around, and I really, really wish we had some photo taking phone thingy, because you have no idea how fun it is for you to browse at shops you can't afford to shop at. Gorgeous trenchcoats and stuff at Zara. I want photos of me in a trenchcoat!
That's that then. Except that we have a new strip out on Azmi's page. Please do check it out. And I mean do.
